I was Writer/Producer
for Zap2it.com,
an entertainment news website under the umbrella of Tribune Media Services.
I wrote about news in the TV industry, as well as show summaries and "Best
Bets" which are featured on Yahoo. These are some links to what I
wrote:
Recaps
As
a lowly TV writer, one of my more painful tasks was watching and recapping
episodes of reality programs "Big Brother 3" and "Survivor:
Thailand." The only thing more embarassing than watching these programs
is having to explain them in detail to the people who did NOT watch them.
Best
Bets
These
are the brief lists of program recommendations that I wrote each week.
I got to be pretty sarcastic here, too, and since they are short, they
are an easy read.
Bylines
These
are news items that I wrote for Zap2it featuring my byline. Some of them
were picked up on the Knight Ridder Tribune newswire, which supplies content
to 400 newspapers nationwide.
Inside
'Fastlane's' Candy Store
I went on a set visit to the FOX action series main set, the Candy Store,
filled with the world's finest cars, motorcycles and other technology.
This story features interviews with the Set Designer, Production Designer,
Transportation Coordinator and the three stars, Peter Facinelli, Bill
Bellamy and Tiffani Thiessen.
Alfonso
Brings Hope Back to 'Days'
I talked to 'Days of Our Lives' actress Kristian Alfonso about her return
to the soap and what she did during her absence from the show.
Dodging
the Baby Bullet on 'Will & Grace'
Actress Debra Messing talks about the future plotline of 'Will & Grace.'
Parker
Plays a 'Perfect' Part
Actress Andrea Parker talked to me about her role on the new ABC comedy
'Less Than Perfect.'
Coolio
Endures 'Boot Camp' on FOX
The rapper/actor talked to me about why he would not make a good soldier
after taping 'Celebrity Boot Camp' for FOX.
Farina
and Smart Make Good 'In-Laws'
An interview with actors Dennis Farina and Jean Smart about their new
NBC sitcom, 'In-Laws.' Catch it soon before it is canceled! Or not.
Chiklis'
Emmy Puts Shine on 'The Shield'
I was at the 54th Annual Emmy Awards, and the biggest shock of the night
was when Michael Chiklis won the Best Actor Emmy for a Drama series for
FX's 'The Shield.'
Everybody
Loves Romano
Backstage at the 2002 Emmys, Ray Romano had some funny things to say about
his first Best Actor Emmy for 'Everybody Loves Raymond.'
Backstage
at the 2002 Emmy Awards
I spent five hours backstage during the 54th Annual Emmy Awards. These
are some of the quotes from winners who came back to talk to the press.
Messing
Anticipates Emmys With 'Grace'
During the 'Will & Grace' conference call with Debra Messing, she
talked briefly about her Emmy nomination. Alas, she lost to Jennifer Aniston
of 'Friends.'
Connick
Is Mr. Right for 'Grace'
Harry Connick Jr. and Debra Messing talked about the upcoming season of
'Will & Grace.' Connick will guest star as a love interest for Grace
this season. (This article was featured in The Toronto
Star, Kansas City Star, McCall.com)
'Weakest
Link' Tweaks its Format
The show's host, George Gray, chatted with me about how stupid "Weakest
Link" contestants really are, and how much fun it is to mock them mercilessly.
(Featured in St. Louis Suburban Journals,
Myrtle Beach Sun News, The
Daily Camera)
Daly's 'Last Call' Goes Daily
I talked to the MTV "Total Request Live" host Carson Daly about
his late, late, late night show on NBC. Gripping stuff. (Featured in Denver
Post, The Salt Lake Tribune, The Buffalo News, The
Arizona Republic , Centre Daily Times)
'Bachelorette'
Cecile Dishes on Alaska
An interview with one of the women who starred on FOX's "Looking
for Love: Bachelorettes in Alaska" reality romance show.

and specials slated for fall 2002 through spring 2003. This content was
