Ed
8:00 P.M. EST -NBC-
Ed finds himself reluctantly volunteering to step in for Eli in a
jitterbug dance contest against Eli's old rival (guest star Robert
Scott Daye). Elsewhere, Warren comes to the realization that the SAT
college-placement system is evil and takes it out on Molly. Meanwhile,
Carol is visited by her father (guest star Dan Lauria, "The Wonder
Years") and fears that he will be angry when she tells him about her
engagement to Dennis. Apparently she has forgotten television rule
No. 497 -- special guest star parents always bring huge surprises
of their own.
The Bachelor
9:00 P.M. EST -ABC-
Bachelor Aaron Buerge was apparently given two important instructions
before filming "The Bachelor." First, when alone with a woman for
more than 15 seconds, he must kiss her -- 30 seconds or more, he must
use tongue. Second, if any of the young women show signs of emotional
instability, they must be given a rose at the end of the show.
Let's face it, hysterical restraining-order-bait equals great ratings.
Tonight, tune in to see if Christi continues her downward spiral and
if any more bachelorettes tell Aaron, "Thanks, but no thanks."
Amazing Race 3
9:00 P.M. EST -CBS-
Several teams develop an alliance in order to hunt down and eliminate
one specific team. The pressure of the race puts one couple at each
other's throats and two teams' worst fears are realized when they
miss a crucial airplane connection that may cost them the race. Tonight's
episode is set in Scotland, the land where golf was invented, and
the teams compete in traditional Scottish games to avoid elimination.
Here's to less golf and more caber tossing!
Birds of
Prey
10:00 P.M.
EST -The WB-
Dr. Harley Quinn hires an evil "metahuman'" to police officers, including
Detective Reese. Sounds like a job for the Birds of Prey!
The Twilight
Zone
9:00 P.M.
EST -UPN-
In "Azoth the Avenger Is a Friend of Mine," a boy conjures his favorite
superhero to beat up the neighborhood bullies and possibly help out
with some household chores.
Law & Order:
True Crime
10:00 P.M.
EST -NBC-
A rock singer is found dead in a garbage can with drugs in her system.
Her publicist says that she is just "suffering from exhaustion."
The Ship
5:00 P.M.
EST -History-
This six-hour miniseries recreates a portion of Captain Cook's 18th
century circumnavigation of the world using a replica ship and 40
male and female sailors from different backgrounds and nationalities.
On the Edge:
Arctic Extreme
9:00 P.M.
EST -National Geographic-
Some people actually make harsh and unforgiving Arctic environments
their home. On the plus side, overcrowding is not a problem.
The X-Files:
Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose
9:00 P.M.
EST -Sci Fi-
Peter Boyle ("Everybody Loves Raymond") won an Emmy for his guest-starring
performance in this episode. The agents track the serial killer of
fortunetellers aided by a man with a terrible gift. |
