In the fifth-season opener of this NBC drama, Syd's clinic has been
destroyed by a fire, and she's now working at an acute care clinic
ER for a big jerk of a boss, Dr. Bill Augustine. Her relaxing weekend
getaway to Vermont with Owen is canceled when the young victim of
a bus crash needs her help. Unfazed, Owen recreates a romantic fall
menagerie for her in their bedroom, and poses an important question.
Either that, or he makes an important announcement about why he likes
to recreate romantic fall menageries.
Firefly
8:00 P.M. EST -FOX-
Mal makes a social faux pas while attending a fancy ball, and ends
up challenging Inara's date, Atherton Wing, to a duel. It would be
pretty manly, except that Inara now has to teach Mal how to use a
sword. The rest of the Serenity crew would probably enjoy laughing
at his predicament, but they are being held hostage by the ruthless
crimelord Badger.
The Scream Team
8:00 P.M. EST -Disney-
When siblings Ian and Claire Carlyle come to Steeple Falls for their
grandfather's funeral, they discover that the town's legendary ghost,
Zachariah Kull, is refusing to let Grandpa Carlyle's soul rest in
peace. The Carlyle kids are determined to help him, and enlist the
aid of three local spirits, called The Scream Team. Kathy Najimy,
Eric Idle and Tommy Davidson star as the funny undead.
