48 Hours
10:00 P.M. EST
-CBS-
Thanks to Julia Roberts, most people know that Erin Brockovich took
on a gigantic utility company which was polluting groundwater and
won a huge settlement. Now she's fighting a smaller enemy. Much, much
smaller. In fact, she's up against mold. Toxic mold. And it had better
watch out, because Ms. Brockovich is a determined woman.
Copperfield! Tornado
of Fire
8:00 P.M. EST -CBS-
The exclamation point after his name is an especially nice touch,
because the "Tornado of Fire" part may not grab your attention. In
any case, the magician travels "through time and space" with a lucky
audience member before he confronts the aforementioned tornado of
fire. Temperatures inside can reach 1,800 degrees Fahrenheit, and
winds equal an F1 tornado on the Fujita scale. Watch to find out what
to do if you are menaced by a tornado of fire at home.
Monk
10:00 P.M. EST
-USA-
The title is not quite politically correct, but in the episode, "Mr.
Monk Meets Dale the Whale," a morbidly obese man is accused of murdering
a local judge. The catch? He hasn't left his bed in 11 years. He's
probably none too tidy, either, which won't be a perk for the obsessive
compulsive Mr. Monk. Adam Arkin guest stars as Dale.
Dateline
8:00 P.M.
EST -NBC-
Two men return to Vietnam to search for the mother they left behind.
It may sound like they were being very careless, losing their mom
and all, but they were babies at the time, so go easy on them.
World's Greatest
Commercials
9:00 P.M.
EST -CBS-
You'll know when this program breaks for advertisements because the
commercials won't be so great.
Invasion
of the Hidden Cameras
8:30 P.M.
EST -FOX-
A man asks a taxidermist to stuff his living poodle -- with snausages
perhaps?
Law & Order:
Special Victims Unit
10:00 P.M.
EST -NBC-
"SVU" is probably the most-overlooked of all the "Law & Order" shows,
which seems odd, because they have Ice-T. On tonight's episode, the
detectives investigate when a woman carrying fake narcotics is found
raped and murdered.
Reba
9:00 P.M.
EST -The WB-
Barbra Jean is sent to "mall jail" for credit abuse. She will have
to subsist on Orange Julius and Cinnabon until her release.
The Mexican
10:00 P.M.
EST -Cinemax-
Julia Roberts met her future husband on the set of this film. Other
than that, it's not very memorable, except for James Gandolfini as
a conflicted gay hitman. Brad Pitt's always nice to look at, too. |
