Sex and the
City
9:00 P.M.
-HBO-
Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte and Samantha are back for the series' fifth
season. Tune in to find out if Miranda's life will be changed forever
by motherhood. Learn whether or not Charlotte's marital separation
has made her guarded and bitter. See if Samantha is still a man-crazy
lunatic. But most importantly, find out what Carrie is wearing so
that you can run out and purchase every item in her new wardrobe.
The Simpsons
7:00 P.M.
-FOX-
Two hours of Homer is a great way to spend a Sunday. Tonight, find
out why Rio's tourism office wanted to file a civil suit against the
show's creators for the second of four episodes, "Blame It on Lisa."
When the family visits Brazil to check up on the orphan Lisa is sponsoring,
they must contend with angry monkeys, man-eating snakes and kidnapping
cab drivers. Sounds like a great vacation destination. Mmm…. Lawsuit.
Babe: Pig
in the City
7:00 P.M.
-ABC-
The big city is no place for a pig. Well, not a nice pig, in any case.
As it turns out, it's not a great place for a farmer's wife, either.
The Hoggett farm needs money, so Mrs. Hoggett takes Babe to the city
where he meets talking chimps, orangutans, kittens, and very mean
dogs. His plucky spirit wins over the urban animals and saves the
day. Makes you want to give up bacon. (At least while the movie is
on.)
Six Feet
Under
8:00 P.M.
-HBO-
Who knew the lives of funeral home workers were so interesting? On
tonight's episode, "Brotherhood," the embittered brother of a Gulf
war veteran refuses to give his sibling a military funeral.
The E! True
Hollywood Story - Liza Minnelli
8:00 P.M.
-E!-
She's getting her own show on VH1, so if you are unfamiliar with the
singer/actress, here's your chance to brush up on Liza 101.
60 Minutes
7:00 P.M.
-CBS-
The crack investigative team reveals what major news events will be
shaping our world. Then Andy Rooney complains about something trivial
in his endearingly cranky way.
Extreme Rides
10:00 P.M.
-DISC-
There are two types of people in the world: those who love to ride
these wild roller coasters, and those who think they are nuts. Somehow,
they always end up dating each other. Go figure.
Inside the
Actors Studio: Mike Meyers
8:00 P.M.
-Bravo-
The disturbingly obsequious host, James Lipton, interviews comedian
Mike Meyers about his film career. Highlights include "So I Married
an Axe Murderer" and "Wayne's World." Delightful.
Charmed
8:00 P.M.
-WB-
Alyssa Milano conjures up a couple versions of herself to help make
an important decision. They tell her to dial 1-800-COLLECT.
