Monk Premiere

Tony Shaloub returns to television as a San Francisco homicide detective
who develops a crippling case of obsessive compulsive disorder after
the murder of his wife. His newly-developed terror of germs costs
him his job on the force, but he continues to solve crimes with the
help of his nurse (plus some disinfectant and lots of kleenex).
Invasion of The
Hidden Cameras
8:00 P.M. EST -FOX-
FOX premieres its wacky new series with back-to-back episodes tonight.
Highlights include a "drunken" paramedic and a man trying to get a
taxi driver to deliver his grandmother's corpse to a morgue. The show
promises to capture "the behavior of real people when they are faced
with an outrageous situation, hoax or totally unpredictable circumstance."
Unfortunately, they never maim the hilarious prankster, but one can
always hope...
The Price is Right
Salutes the U.S. Coast Guard
9:00 P.M. EST -CBS-
CBS continues its series of "The Price is Right" specials honoring
a branch of the United States uniformed services. The Navy, Army and
Air Force have already had thier shows, now it is the U.S. Coast Guard's
turn. One has to admit, the classy uniforms are a refreshing change
from the airbrushed "Pick Me, Bob" sweatshirts you tend to see on
the contestants. Tune in to see if anyone wins a boat.

Anthony Michael Hall's new show is the top basic cable original dramatic
series of all time. Farmer Ted is making a comeback.

Tom Hanks stars as the guy who will tell you his whole life story
if you sit next to him on a bus bench. It's a good story, though.

Will Smith talks trash to aliens before he became a Man in Black.
"Welcome to Earth" -- classic.
48 Hours
8:00 P.M.
EST -CBS-
This episode takes a look at the seamy side of Las Vegas. Apparently
it is not the squeaky-clean family vacation destination that everyone
thought it was.
