'BB3' - We Have a Winner Wednesday, September 25, 2002

It's Wednesday, Sept. 25, time to decide whether Lisa Donahue or Danielle Reyes will be taking home half a million dollars.
Will the 10 evicted houseguests give the prize to the more popular Lisa, or will they reason that Danielle has played the game better, despite her underhandedness? Don't be so sure how it will all turn out. After all, fat naked guy Richard Hatch won "Survivor" and evil doctor Will Kirby won "Big Brother 2."
Now that it's just the two of them, Danielle comes clean to Lisa about her alliance with Jason and all of the manipulating. "I was diabolical," she admits. "Big Brother 3" uses this as an opportunity to look back on the game with a brief highlight show.
Next, all of the evicted houseguests are shown gathered in a circle of couches and chairs in the studio. Tonya confronts Marcellas about his "stripper mother" remarks, and he apologizes immediately. She forgives him.
When Amy offers an open-ended apology to anyone she may have offended, Chiara sits and glares at her. Later in private, she says that she will absolutely not forgive Amy unless she apologizes to her face. Chiara -- staying true to form.
Chiara asks forgiveness of Roddy for some reason. She says he took a lot of grief for her and he looked out for her. She thanks him for that.
On his turn, Roddy says, "I was kind and respectful to you guys" and goes on to say how disappointed he is with everyone who said bad things about him. "It's a sickening feeling," he adds. Yes, the poor innocent man has been much maligned. Perhaps he should sue someone.
Josh apologizes to Gerry for the awful way he treated him, and the teacher forgives him.
All in all, everyone is forgiven, except for Danielle. The animosity towards her is not a good sign. When Jason attempts to stick up for her, Marcellas refuses to sit next to him.
Each guest is given a chance to talk to Danielle and Lisa on camera. Lori starts things off by asking Lisa about the alliance that got her kicked out in the first week. Lisa says that she regretted it. Lori brings up the Gerry handwashing tiff she had with Danielle, and apologizes to Danielle for it.
When Tonya asks Danielle what she regrets about the game, Danielle answers bluntly, "Letting go of the key." No apologies here.
Chiara asks Lisa if she forgives her for the "insecure" remark. Lisa hesitates but eventually says yes.
Other than that, Lisa basically says she saw the game as a growth experience, and Danielle says she's sorry if she hurt people, but she was playing the game, and would do it all over again.
Each houseguest is given a chance to react to the Q&A session, but for the most part, everyone is saying what a great time they had, how they are a "family" etc. There's just no energy left for evil anymore.
For old time's sake, Julie Chen makes an embarrassing goof, bless that woman. She asks Josh when he is going to make a decent woman out of Merritt. Someone corrects her and says, "honest woman, Julie." Good times.
When Ms. Chen brings up Amy's parting shot at Chiara - "I'll be bringing armed guards to the cast party," Amy says that actually, she and Kiki are planning to move in together. Everyone laughs, but Julie asks if she is serious.
CBS needs show ideas.
The houseguests all file back into the "Big Brother 3" house to reveal their votes. Every person but one votes for Lisa. Jason is Danielle's only vote. To her credit, Danielle is not shocked, but Lisa is overwhelmed.
Outside, Danielle's husband and daughters wait for her. She may not have won, but at least she's taking home $50,000. In any case, she is out of the house, and seems overjoyed to be reunited with her family.
Lisa is greeted by her father and "Big Brother 3" goes to commercial for the umpteenth time.
Danielle sums it up best in the final interview with Julie Chen, "[The result] just proves that a good person can win it."
