What
was Roughcut.com?
Roughcut.com was a daily entertainment news and editorial web site owned
by Turner Network Television, or TNT. It featured opinion columns, movie
reviews, celebrity interviews, weekly features, contests, and other film-related
content. It was one of the older entertainment sites in existence, and
contained five years' worth of archived content. AOL pulled the plug on
Roughcut.com when they bought Time Warner, the parent company of TNT.
What
is a Design Editor?
My
official title with Roughcut was "Design Editor", but I was
essentially the Web Master and Graphic Artist for the site. I was responsible
for the look of Roughcut.com -- page layout, creating banners, feature
images, advertisements, etc. The site's navigation, browser compatibility
and daily uploading were my other important duties.
My
saved work...
During my time as Design Editor, I created hundreds of pages and graphics
which were lost when Roughcut.com was taken down. Fortunately, I saved
many of my favorite images, in the following categories:
Feature
Graphic Archive
Front Page Promo Archive
Sountrack Reviews
Movie Flash Cards
